Aminadab Gaxiola Gonzalez, 44, has been identified as the gunman who killed four people and injured a fifth in a California office complex, according to Fox News.

Gonzalez reportedly knew his victims, one of whom was a 9-year-old boy.

Local police claimed that his motive could have included personal or business relationships and stated that the shooting was “not an accidental act of violence.”

Gonzalez was wounded when officers responded to the scene.

If Gonzalez is convicted, he could face the death penalty.

In 2015, Orange County’s Gonzalez was charged, among other things, with cruelty to a child.

“We know during the pandemic that child abuse and abuse of the elderly were significantly underreported because people stayed at home in these conditions,” said Orange County’s District Attorney Todd Spitzer.

“In this case we have a child who has passed away and I want to know and I want to consider whether there have been any problems with child abuse in the past as this may or may not be relevant to the particular case. ”

More from Fox News:

He was caught on security video wearing a headscarf over his face and carrying a semi-automatic pistol and backpack filled with pepper spray, handcuffs and ammunition.

The goal was Unified Homes, a mobile home brokerage. The victims were found in offices on the second floor of the building and on an outdoor landing.

If convicted, Gonzalez would be eligible for the death penalty, Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer told reporters Thursday.
