Border Collie Inherits $5 Million After Her Human’s Death

Lulu the Border Collie is now a millionaire, but she doesn’t like to brag about it. After her loved one died, he left $ 5 million on her behalf. Lulu can buy endless supplies of dog food or even her personal bodyguard, but that’s not life for her. Instead, she will just go about her normal life, but maybe with a few extra goodies along the way.

This dog’s assets are intended to be used to cover all of his regular expenses. Lulu’s new person is reimbursed for all reasonable monthly expenses. They don’t know how they will ever spend that much money on a dog, but Lulu is special so they will try!

The gift of love

84-year-old Bill Dorris loved Lulu very much. The two were inseparable for years, but unfortunately Dorris was on the road a lot. When he couldn’t have Lulu with him, he entrusted his 88-year-old friend Martha Burton to look after the dog. The 8-year-old border collie also quickly fell in love with Burton.

Dorris died in late 2020, leaving Lulu and Burton heartbroken. But when they saw his will, something special struck them.

“Five million dollars will be transferred to a trust that will be set up to care for my Border Collie Lulu after I die,” the will says.

The will also states that Burton will continue to care for Lulu. Of course, Burton and Lulu were pleased because they were basically family already. Money won’t buy Lulu happiness, but hopefully it will help make the rest of her life great.

A dog millionaire

Not many dogs can brag about having millions of dollars. So Lulu is a happy puppy. It’s unclear where so much money came from and how much Dorris’ estate is worth, but friends of Dorris say he had impressive real estate holdings and investments.

However, Burton knows nothing about Dorris’ savings and she does not want to know more about them. The only important thing for her is that Lulu is in good hands, just as her friend would have wanted.

“He loved that dog,” said Burton. “She is a good girl.”

The will did not state what would happen to the $ 5 million after Lulu died. But for now, Burton and Lulu will live in the present. Burton hopes to spend as much money as possible on the border collie, and Lulu will be able to live a life of luxury.
